Shame on the Republican party of Bucks county for falling down on their job to support Republican candidates. The worst Left-Wing Liberal White-Hating Festering Democrat won the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives for the 178th District.
Brian Fitzpatrick did a bit worse than he should have against Dean Malik because the Bucks Republicans just weren’t up to the job of supporting Fitz. Fitz won because of the strength of the Fitzpatrick name which was because of his brother Mike who retired from Congress but Makik did a lot better than he should have.
Malik is a good enough guy in many ways but he was not such a good candidate.
Fitz isn’t necessarily a much better candidate but the Mike Fitzpatrick coat tails still work. In the upcoming fall election Democrat Wallace can pull this out but probably not because, even with a lot of money which his campaign seems to have he won’t be able to overcome the Fitzpatrick name, especially now that Trump has been getting major achievements which will help the Republicans and Brian Fitzpatrick. Unless Wallace gets a major issue and none seen to be there, Wallace will not win in November……but…in politics there’s often a but and Wallace is not the worst of candidates. Brian Fitzpatrick is a far better candidate but the Bucks Republicans need to up their game.
Look at the Republican Wendi Thomas’ Special Election to replace Scott Petri that put the popular Wendi Thomas against a Left-Wing Progressive Communist Democrat Newcomer. Thomas lost in a very close Special Election so another America-hating Left-Winger is now in the State House.
Thomas will get a rematch for the full two year seat in the fall but with the anti-Trumpers in the Republican party; the women in Bucks County, both Republican and Democrat who will vote gender over party or capability and the lack of Republican political ability in Bucks in addition to: an energized Liberal Left-Wing; a really bad Progressive Liberal Democrat wins again in the fall and Thomas loses. That seals what’s been going on in Bucks since the Obama and Hillary wins which also put four of the Bucks row offices into the Democrat column.
Unfortunately too many of the Republican committee spots were empty which is normal but it shows the lack of verve within the Bucks Republican party which is why Hillary won and why a Democrat Liberal just won what was a Republican seat.
Democrat registrations in Bucks are higher than Republican registrations but the Bucks Republicans did fine with Harry Fawkes. The Fawkes/Republican mojo just isn’t there anymore.
