It’s in Miami on Feb.2. 2020. The stadiun seats 71,000 people at $4,250 per seat is $302 million but a lot of the seats are double, triple and up to $25,000 per seat in a few of the most preferred locations. If it’s estimated that the average super bowl seat is $15,000 the total ticket sales will be about $1.065 billion dollars. Advertisers will spend close to $500 million so the total for the ticket sales and the advertising is $1,565 million or $1.565 billion. All that is subject to the costs involved which could be about 50% if the total so the Super bowl will generate about $783 million just for the stadium and the advertising associated with the event.

In addition there is the tremendous amount of products that are bought by the people who watch the game somewhere on a home tv screen or even in a theatre. It’s estimated that 100 million people watch the game. How much they spend for snacks, meals and booze is not estimated but it’s conservative to think they spend about $25 each which comes to another $2.5 billion. Then there is the cost to travel to someplace to watch with family or friends as well as the cost to the people who actually go to the game in Miami. At $150 per person for travel is another $11 million. The players make millions extra for the game. Millions more are bet on the game. Millions in hotel rooms. Trump has three hotels in Miami. Add the cost of fuel for those who drive to Miami to see the game. Add in the airplane costs for private jets and for commercial airline tickets. The cost to dine in the Miami restaurants. Many people buy new clothes for the event. Maybe even some new jewelry or new watches too.

It s all probably about $5 billion worth of spending for the 3 1/2 hour event. That’s more than the yearly national budget expenses for every country on the planet except America but the Superbowl spending may be more than that too.
