Ilhan Omar wrote: “No one’s commitment to our constitution should be questioned because of their faith or country of birth” in response to  Judge Jeanine Pirro’s remarks about Omar’s anti-Semitism. Omar is certainly wrong to use the distraction of the Constitution and her faith when it’s about her overtly religion based tactics and bringing her religious based belief’s into the U.S. Congress when they are more properly brought into her private life. Congress by it’s nature is not at all private. Omar’s religious views and behaviors should not be marched into the public arena.  

Judge Jeanine Poro asked:  “She’s not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine from the Democrat Party. So if it’s not rooted in the party, where is she getting it from?” Pirro said during her show “Justice” on Saturday. “Think about it. Omar wears a hijab, which according to the Quran 33:59 tells women to cover so they won’t get molested.

“Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?”

One of the most misogynist Islamic laws with respect to women is the requirement for complete veiling (hijab) in accordance with Koranic tenets. The wearing of the veil was instituted by Mohammad in the early days of Islam. 

The effect of all kinds of veils is the same, the woman is rendered anonymous, a non -person, unapproachable, just a silent being skulking along. She is taboo. The Islamic head- cover mentioned in Koran 33: 59, and the curtain referred to in Koran 33: 53, which was meant to separate the man from the woman. Why is Islam so obsessed with keeping men and women part? Why have Islam gone to such great lengths to maintain control over women?

Much more than a way of clothing, hijab is the manifestation of an outright Islamic misogynism and an antiquated view on women’s status. It is designed to control women’s sexuality much more effectively than any other religion or ideological system. America’s Constitution is not about controlling women, it’s about their status as free individuals. 

It doesn’t really matter why it is, just that it is and freedom for women is part of the U.S. Constitution against which Ilhan Omar shows either disrespect or disdain by wearing clothes that are in opposition to the freedom of women per the U.S. Constitution.

Just because someone is free to act doesn’t mean it’s the best way or even an accepted way to act. Omar’s hijab is especially offensive to Americans who remember 9/11 which was enervated by Muslims who found appproval for their murderous actions in the same religion Omar is parading with in the U.S. Congress.
