Yeah, it should be “worst” but it is so badly written with mangled language, poor cognition and overall confusion that it’s like word sausage. It’s an insult to the readers. The title is: ” Climate change scientists use language accurately — their critics are not” That’s really the title. It should be “do not” or “don’t”. Or the “their” can be eliminated but the problem with the “are” remains.
Then it gives president Trump a shot, accusing him of “language misdirection”. Typical, …. no example. Not one.
Going on it makes the point that global warming was a mistake and global cooling might be so scientists should use the term change instead of warming or cooling.
Then it admits forecasting global warming was a mistake. The earth is not actually getting warmer. Instead it is in the opinion of the wurst writer, now approaching a “tipping point”. In addition it’s now “climate degradation”. If you are confused it’s not your fault. The writer in the Courier, not you is the problem.
