She’s young, personable, likable and a genius herself. She’s only 46, … mom has a law degree, dad, born in the Punjab, a PhD so it is certain she’ll be back inside the Trump administration, …maybe running State, Treasury, Defense, Justice, or any Cabinet position or as an Ambassador to any country on the planet, including especially U.S. Ambassador to Russia. She can literally do it all.
Haley was named to the board of directors of the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce in 1998 when she was 26. She was named to the board of directors of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce in 2003. Haley became treasurer of the National Association of Women Business Owners in 2003, and president in 2004. She chaired the Lexington Gala to raise funds for the local hospital. She also served on the Lexington Medical Foundation, Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation, and West Metro Republican Women. She was the president of the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and was chair for the 2006 Friends of Scouting Leadership Division campaign.
As she was departing as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley on Tuesday morning lauded White House senior adviser Jared Kushner as a “hidden genius” of the Trump administration.
Haley made the remark from the Oval Office as she announced her resignation at the end of the year.
“I can’t say enough good things about Jared and Ivanka [Trump],” she said. “Jared is such a hidden genius that (sic. who) no one understands.”
Haley gave Kushner credit for renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) deal last week.
“To redo the NAFTA deal the way he did,” she said, listing off his accomplishments. “What I’ve done working with him on the Middle East peace plan … it is so unbelievably well-done.”
Kushner, who is married to Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, has been tasked with forming a Middle East peace plan to resolve tensions between Israel and Palestine.
Haley also called Ivanka Trump a “great friend.”
“They do a lot of things behind the scenes that I wish more people knew about,” she said. “We’re a better country because they’re in this administration.”
Haley during the public announcement said she will not be running in 2020, vowing that she will campaign for the president that year.
Trump, sitting alongside Haley, told reporters she wanted to “take a break” from public service. He said she would be welcome back in any position she wanted.
Multiple reports have indicated that those close to Haley were blindsided by her decision to leave the administration.
This is one smart American. She’s destined to further greatness.
