Suppose you don’t want to make wedding cakes for LGBT clients? Can you be forced to do something you don’t want to do?
Yes.
And no if you have a religious belief that forbids you to do it. So say the 4th and 5th Circuit Courts of Appeals. The U.S. Supreme Court may rule you must violate your religious beliefs and make a wedding cake for two gay people. Until and unless that happens your own religious beliefs may protect you. If you are an atheist you will have to find some other belief. Atheists are not religious but they can rely on whatever legal argument that appeals to them, …. sort of.
Clear? Maybe that’s the point and the legal system is a way to exhaust people who have different beliefs about homosexuality.
What if you don’t want to do something the courts demand you do? First, tough for you. Second, better find another place to go or find something else to do. .
