McCoy threw a tantrum, basically, and Stephen A. Smith called him out on it on ESPN’s First Take on Monday. Over the course of the 12 minute clip, Smith said it was “unmanly” and “weak” to not face the media after his comments before the game, and that not shaking hands with his opponents was an act of “low class” from a man he knows is a “good dude.” Even worse for McCoy he threw his helmet against the locker room wall as he came off the field. In the sports vernacular that’s called being a sore loser.
McCoy is 27 years old and he’s had his share of winning and losing. No one likes losing but the measure of a person is how they handle adversity. McCoy’s score is really low. He needs to grow up.
