It’s about her appearance, a big part of which is her face to which Donald Trump brought more attention than it ever had. Is she hard to look at? Is it proper to bring attention to the most important asset of most women? Of course. Women wear lipstick and use makeup to enhance their face.
Politically, the appearance of anyone is most important. Every man on stage for the CNN Republican debate wore a suit and a tie in accord with the conventional importance of appearance. If appearance isn’t supposed to be talked about, why do most people do it? Appearance is what’s meant by make a good first impression because it’s difficult to undo a bad one.
Carly’s face is fair game. So is Donald’s hair and Jeb’s Spanish. Somehow Donald isn’t supposed to be offended by disparaging remarks about his hair so it’s OK for him or anyone else to mention Carly’s face.
