It’s a long, long way from Los Angeles to Sydney. About 7,500 miles and about 15 hours of flying time. Is it worth it? Is a visit to faraway Australia worth the time, effort and money? While I’ve been to Australia a few times, it’s a very big place and it takes a lot to fly there, fly to some of the cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and especially to far off Perth which is 2,036 miles from Sydney. In many ways far-off Aussie is different than America or Europe and yet it’s easy for an American to get around there. The Sydney Bay Bridge is shockingly big. The Sydney Opera House is a spectacular sight.
