A caller said Rush reminded her of Ayn Rand. Rush denied he was in any way connected to Rand because she was an atheist. He missed the point by milllions of miles. Ayn Rand was a philosopher. She became popular by writing fictional stories that identified her philosophy. I had attended Roman Catholic schools through an Engineering degree but sadly my connection to philosophy was almost zero. Catholocism, as any religion does stays away from philosophy because out of the thousands of philosophies a religion holds with only one.
But Rand was an author and the author of the highest selling book outside the bible, Atlas Shrugged. She had a college degree in philosophy and she invented Objectivism, her philosophy and as it turns out the one philosophy that gets everything right. Yeah… OK.. That’s not hard to prove. In fact it’s rather easy because philosophy starts with Metaphysics, a view about everything. Religions use a metaphysics based on Mysticism. Rand’s Objectivism uses Reality. See the difference? Mysticism means just about anything goes. Reality is limited to existence.
