Because of the extreme visual attributes of each of these American coins a photograph or a representation on a computer screen cannot show all of their beauty. While each coin has the value of one U.S. dollar they cost $107.50 each when they are purchased from the U.S. Mint. Very few things cost that much but value is often subjective and paying 107 1/2 times what something is worth is certainly excessive, in the case of these coins it is not. Well.. Yes, .. it is excessive. It would make a Chevrolet Silvarado worth almost $4 million and that’s really, really excessive so how does the US Mint justify it’s price? It doesn’t. You have to figure that out for yourself. I did and I bought the two coin set for $215 plus s&h. For reference a 2000 P Sacagawah dollar coin is $115 on Ebay so the US Morgan and Peace set is priced about right.
