The SEC investigated Tucker; found absloutely nothing wrong but the investigation ruined his company. That happened in 1950. The SEC filed mail and conspiracy fraud charges against Preston Tucker. The SEC, failed to prove its case, and Tucker was acquitted of all charges in January 1950. However, the company never recovered. Fast foreward to 2024 when the U.S. Government as well as several state governments are hounding Donald Trump in their misguided attempts to put him out of business, bankrupt him and put him in jail. The government needs to step up it’s investigation of itself. Justice is desperately needed. It failed with Tucker and is failing with Trump.
