The bible doesn’t tell people what they must do to lead a fully human life. “The Vision of Ayn Rand” comes as close as it’s possible to get. In a word it’s a fantastic book.

It should be taught in colleges. It should be part of a philosophy degree. It would easily take two or more semesters to teach the entire book but there are additional books that should be studied as part of this book.

It’s a bit difficult because there is so much information in it that directly contradicts what you were taught and what you learned and accepted that you constantly have to reach deep into your mind to correct the errors. That’s a monumental job because you have accepted so much that’s wrong that you will be going back to your earliest days when you began to develop your mind. When did that happen? When you were learning how to speak.

That’s how basic the information that society saw to it you accepted, information that was, unfortunately in respect to the big life questions 180 degrees from the truth. This book, along with Ayn Rand’s monumental novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged will go a long way to getting your mind on the correct path. Be warned. Your task will be difficult. There is a reward. You will be able to think much better and more correctly.

(This review is made after reading about 270 pages and will be updated when the entire book is read.)

In addition there are the writings of other successful Objectivist’s such as Leonard Peikoff’s “Objectivism, the Philosophy of Ayn Rand” commonly referred to as OPAR, & Barbara Brandon, but not many others who grasp Ayn Rand’s philosophy, Objectivism. Even this book will not cement the principles of Objectivism into you psyche where they belong but it will go a long way towards doing that.
