According to the Oakland Police Department, crime has risen 11% from last year. The city has had 3,370 violent crime reports in 2023. They also stated that in the first seven months of this year, there have been around 52 homicides. This number is equivalent to the amount of homicides that occurred during the entire year of 2022. The Oakland Branch of the NAACP blames the district Attorney, as though theDA’s office committed the 3,370 violent crimes, not the criminals. read that again. It’s in paragraph two in the letter from the NAACP…… The NAACP would be better thanking the 1,000 members of the police department and writing a letter to the community to get their help catching the criminals…. Criminals committ crimes, not the police… Better yet… Get the snitches to identify the criminals in the ‘young mobs’ that prey on the people. Get the snitches to help the police catch the criminals instead of wrongly blaming the police and the DA for the crime. That gets the cause of crime exactely backwards. Here’s the actual letter:
