The world’s most annoying individual and the World’s Most Annoying Teen is Greta Thunberg. Look.. Looks aren’t everything and Greta hasn’t a set of good ones and she’s convinced that Individualism and Freedom are bad things and that the Earth Is In Danger… that’s her whole shtick. She found a gimmick and she wore it out trying to stop just about everything in favor of doing nothing which she thinks is the only way to save the planet. Did little Miss Annoying think to ask the planet how it’s doing? No.. Well we know the planet itself is doing fine. Most people are doing just fine so it was a shock to wake up to this annoyance with her somewhat shifty eyed look.. Wait. Sorry.. She has Asperger’s Syndrome, a set of behaviors on the Autism spectrum that manifest as significant difficulty with Social Interaction and with non-verbal communication.
But if we take every car and bus and truck off the road, as Thunberg seems to want to do… what happens?
Well, for one thing, people starve. Food gets from farm to market using trucks powered by oil. Eliminate oil and all of our distribution systems would collapse and billions would die. Thunberg doesn’t grasp that.
International trade would stop. All those ships burn oil, and they move containers full of products we want, use and need around the world. How does a nation survive if their produce or products can’t be moved to where people will buy them? Trun doesn’t grasp that either.
And then there’s global security…

CVN-75 Harry Truman (CC by US Navy)
Apart from a few nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers, every military aircraft, vehicle, and ship runs on petroleum products. And just how much use is a nuclear aircraft carrier with no aircraft, anyway? No navy, no airforce, and an army that has to march everywhere. Look. We cannot even get to the upper floors in a high-rise without and elevator powered by electricity which is produced by fossil fuel and Thunnie should know that and be grateful for it. Here’s hoping she gets herself straightened out about the earth and it’s systems.
