There’s more crime in Manhattan than before the police were restricted in what they could do to subdue someone. They cannot use chokeholds or torso holds even though the perps can use both. A lot of people are disgusted with the police after incidents like George Floyd, Eric Garner and Mike Brown. A dirty secret is there are certain neighborhoods where the people hate the police. Police are in more danger in those places than in other neighborhoods where people are less violent. There are races of people who are both dumber and more violent. Police however must treat everyone the same when it’s obvious individuals and races are different. So the titular question remains.. What is to be done?
