Throwing the ball into the end zone three times in the final minute so everyone on both teams can jump at the ball is not the mark of a good quarterback. Neither was grounding the ball on his first possession and giving the Cardinals two points for a rookie mistake by a rookie quarterback.
Hurts has been very, very, very lucky and Pederson rather dumb for keeping Wentz on the bench which isn’t the best way for the Eagles to play when they have a great quarterback on the bench. Hurts is not the future of the Eagles despite what the pundits have been saying. He’s a rookie who is very easy to stop. Wentz is a very, very seasoned veteran who is not easy to stop but Pederson foolishly went with Hurts who lost the entire game in the final minute with three dumb-assed plays. Instead of finding a receiver, Hurts threw three grab-balls into a crowd in the end zone instead of going for the touchdown. A fitting end for a rather rotten performance. If Hurts is so good why didn’t he find some receivers and deliver some strikes? The reason is: he’s not that good. And as for his running, if he had been able to deliver the ball to a receiver he wouldn’t have had to run with it. A running quarterback is a dopy quarterback and there is where Hurts fits. Give Pederson another bad performance too. PHOOEY!!
