Registered Republican or Democrat? Does your registration make a difference? Usually not — but here’s a way to really make your vote count in a Primary Election.
Change parties and vote out one of the opposition…in the Primary.
For Example, in the 2008 Democrat Primary some Republicans were so against Hillary that they changed their registration to Democrat and voted for Obama to make sure Hillary would not be on the Democrat ballot in the fall. It worked. An unpopular Democrat candidate was voted out in the Primary, long before the Presidential election.
It would be similiar to a Northampton Democrat changing to Republican before the 2011 Primary Election to vote out a long time Republican office holder. 🙂
