No one can lift themselves up by their own bootstraps. You can lift one boot by lifting up the straps of the boot but only by changing the position of your foot. You cannot lift yourself up by grabbing your boots and lifting. Lifting oneself up by one’s own bootstraps is really a nonsense. There are some fantastic proof that the bootstrap paradox is true if one travels back in time but that’s another impossibility.
