A massive mis-carriage of justice was partly righted by President Trump who alleged that the former governor was a victim of the same forces that investigated him for years, citing James B. Comey, the former F.B.I. director, and Patrick Fitzgerald, the U.S. attorney in Chicago who prosecuted Mr. Blagojevich.

“It was a prosecution by the same people — Comey, Fitzpatrick, the same group,” Mr. Trump told reporters, misstating Mr. Fitzgerald’s name.

Blagojevich’s 14 year sentence was cut short at eight years by President Trump who said it was long enough for what he did. Was Trump right or wrong?

Suggested Answer: Right. Blagojevich did not actually sell the Senate seat vacated by Barack O’bama. No cash exchanged hands.
