Too many people don’t want to see Kaepernick because of his wrong attitude towards white people. The Jets, Panthers, Steelers, and Saints, have all lost their starting QB’s for significant amounts of time. Kaepernick refused to stand during the playing of The Star Spangled Banner. He protested the lack of race based justice in America not realizing how the 70% percent of black players in the NFL is six times larger than the 12% percent of black people in the population. It’s white players who are discriminated against in the NFL if the population is ranked according to race. It’s not. It’s based on talent, not race.
Since 2010, 96% of all U.S. counties saw declines in shares of white population — and those declines aren’t likely to be offset by white immigration from other countries or increased U.S. birth rates going forward.
“In the next 5–6 years, we’re going to see an actual decline in white population,” reported Axios, noting the shrinking share of the white population since 2000 among children under the age of 18. “In the next 10 years or so, the 20-something population will become minority white. It’s happening from the bottom up of the age structure.”
Between the lines: The white population’s declining slice of the population pie has been moved down and it will be moved down more in the future.
For Kaepernick he picked the wrong issue in the wrong place against the wrong symbol at the wrong time. For all that he became hugely unpopular.
The thing about protests is that it can lead to counter-protests which may be the way to correct wrong protests. Fans are counter-protesting against Kaepernick so he’s become persona non grata in the NFL.
