What caused him to figuratively fall off the earth? Catholics hope Pope Francis gets back to the mission of the church which is saving souls and lets go of his mis-infatuation with saving the earth instead of the people on it.
“Now is the time to abandon our dependence on fossil fuels and move, quickly and decisively, towards forms of clean energy and a sustainable and circular economy. Let us also learn to listen to indigenous peoples, whose age-old wisdom can teach us how to live in a better relationship with the environment,” he said.
Indigigenous peoples are pre-modern. Many are illiterate. They need help to get into heaven. In fact they have no idea about heaven, being unable to read the bible. Why should anyone want to listen to them instead of for example any author? Every author is literate. An indigenous person is not. It’s not a failure so much as a lack of ability. No modern person should every try to make people more stupid by holding primitives as intellectual achievers. They are ignorant of the ABC’s which prevents them from gaining knowledge to live a better and longer life. The Pope should examine his wrong premises and stop condemning modern civilizations with their abundant food, safe water and breathable air compared to people who still live in the jungles and the bush of the world. How Pope Francis got her is very mysterious when he makes hung blunders like saying “listen to indigenous peoples.” This is a worse gaff than Joe Biden makes.
