Most weapons are used to defend something. Missing that argumant, Pope Francis declared there would be no wars if rich Western countries did not manufacture and sell arms. What about the people who use them? Just because there are guns doesn’t mean people should kill people with them.
It’s rather simple to make a gun. Kids make them out of rubber bands and clothespins. A cylinder for a barrel and a spring for a trigger is about half of making a gun. If the rich Western countries did not manufacture arms then they would be made by poor Western countries or rich Eastern countries or someone who knew how to make a gun. This is not hard stuff but for some reason the Pope decided to take on the morality of the Western nations. Why? No one knows. .
