Most people simply skipped the Oscars while billions of people purposely refused to watch a 4 hour TV show that bashed the president of the United States. “We can tune in every might to watch Trump get bashed by the Late Nite TV hosts so why go out of our way to watch people talk about movies we never heard of or never saw like Blackkklansmen or someone with the same last name as the Confederate General do it? The commentator was referring to a man identified as Spike. Who named the guy Spike? His name is Shelton. He’s a very little man, only 5’5” unless he wears elevators. He’s mad at the people who refused to buy a ticket to his movie Blackkklansman. He don’t like us. We don’t care for him. He’s one of the divisive forces in America. If you’re white he hates you.
Why don’t you say something? Why don’t you speak up?
Walter Williams wrote: “There are only two ways to explain the silence by people who should know better. Either they agree with the sentiments expressed or they are out-and-out cowards. No, there’s a third reason. They are silent because they are indifferent. They don’t care about Spike or Glenn Close or Chelsea Handler. They really don’t care. They don’t watch. They don’t tune in. They are indifferent. Get it? They don’t care.
And don’t dare call our indifference Racism. It’s not racism. It’s indifference. It’s our reaction to the hate against us. We don’t care. Not caring isn’t racism. Racism is practiced against us. So now we just tune out all of the hate and we don’t care.
