We know it’s about the winter solstice but the idea to ban saying “Merry Christmas” began with the Liberals who hate America and by extension Christian people. The most popular holiday, -and this really grates on Liberals, -is Christmas. If you believe it’s the celebration of the birth of Christ, so be it. If you believe it’s a way to celebrate the longest night of the year, ..OK too.
But Christmas is a great way to make people feel good about life. Lights during the longest night, ..presents, …parties, …Christmas dinner with family or friends, … no matter your special way to celebrate, the celebration is important but religious people believe the religious nature of Christmas is the most important part.
In addition there are many un-believers and non-believers who like the authentic human nature of the celebration. Whatever your reason’s it because gauche to say “Merry Christmas” but President Trump followed his personal heart and wrote “Merry Christmas” in his first Christmas card from the White House.
