State Attorney Marilyn Mosby is holding skating, basketball and might swimming to stop crime in Baltimore in the false hope and the inverted theory that crime is caused by the lack of government activities, not by the criminals who commit the crimes.
How do you stop crime is the wrong question. Why are come people criminals is the right question. It’s not poverty. Plenty of law abiding people are poor. It’s not lack of education. Plenty of almost illiterate people work and have families.
Criminal behavior is a complex topic because criminals are abnormal. A person can come from a “perfect” background with a supportive family, affluence, education, a college degree and high-paying job, and commit the most violent crime. Another person can come from severe poverty, abuse and neglect and go on to become a productive and inspiring member of society.
Crime is caused by criminals. When criminals are sent to college you get educated criminals. When criminals join religious groups your get religious criminals Crime isn’t caused by a lack of activities by government that keep criminals occupied.
