There’s an unhealthy relationship in America between money and politics. Pat Bachtle, for example raised $100,000 vs her competitor for Prothonotary who raised $3,000.  Who won? Bachtle. Which doesn’t mean anything nefarious was bought with the extra dough but the connection between money and being a successful candidate is obvious.

Northampton Township rejected a solar panel project for the Township Library. It was too expensive. Then the Northampton Republican Committee endorsed the solar panel project salesman as a candidate for Township Supervisor. A few weeks later he sold a $193,500 Chinese Solar Panel project to the Republican Majority on the Sewer Board. The Democrat led township had seen through the façade that covered over the excess costs. The Republicans didn’t.

The Sewer board Chinese Solar panels are a waste of money.
