Obama was tongue tied or had a brain freeze because he wasn’t able to talk to other people so when it came to negotiating with other countries Trump stepped into the vacuum and did it. The negotiators had a First Amendment Free Speech Right to Talk to whomever they wanted. Obama wasn’t or couldn’t do it and it’s better to talk to other countries so they know your intentions. Obama didn’t want to do that. President Elect Trump could have people talk to other countries to save time when he was sworn in. Makes perfect sense. Valerie Jarrett wasn’t doing it so Trump stepped up and it’s a good thing he did.

Obama dropped the ball so those countries didn’t invite America to the negotiations. Trump most likely began discussions before he was sworn in and started negotiating with them soon after he was sworn in. Good. Why put off what has to be done?

The Logan act covers “NEGOTIATING” BUT TALKING ISN’T NEGOTIATING. Neither is a “Contact” a negotiation or a “Conversation”” a negotiation.
Trump knows how to talk and how to negotiate. To repeat. Talking isn’t negotiating. No foul, no crime. Talk is protected by the Right of Free Speech.
Even though there’s no violation, if there were, the President could pardon anyone actually convicted of a violation.
