It was so simple what Ted Cruz could have and should have done, endorsed Trump as Cruz had pledged to do and demanded Trump apologize for the remarks about his wife and father. It would have showed Cruz was a bigger man then he really was but of course that couldn’t happen because Cruz is not a bigger man. And it would have left it up to Trump to decide to walk back his remarks or not.
That’s why small men can’t act bigger than they are. In addition Ted has the air of righteousness about him and that definitely is his fathers fault. It causes Cruz to believe he has some extra leverage because of his belief’s but of course his belief’s don’t affect what others do. Unfortunately, that’s the penalty for being a True Believer as Eric Hoffer wrote about in his book of the same name. . .
