The most inauthentic pretenders who dress like other people and say what other people said give themselves awards for pretending, a sub-species of lying. Halloween is their big night.
Pretentious mediocrities acting. An Emmy is not as prestigious as an Oscar but they pretend it and they are important. In a certain way pretense becomes a vocation so they are maddeningly jealous of reality. When they notice authentic people they must imitate them but a facsimile is not an original. It’s a copy and the T.V. actors who live in the shadows of better actors on stages and in movies know they are pretending which is why Donald Trump sets their teeth on edge.
