They’re wrong. Ilana Mercer and Pat Buchanan are two intellectuals whe claim, wrongly, that Trump is no intellectual. First of all, Trump is something that most intellectuals are not: wildly rich. Second, he has a degree from the Warton School which is not only a marker of an intellectual, it’s a marker of an expert on the economy and on all matters economic, matters which are over the heads of most intellectuals. In other words, Trump is a super-intellectual. Intellectual because of where he went to college and super because he used his intellectual education as well as his intellect to suppass most intellectuals. Hence; Super-Intellectual.
Mercer wrote a rather deep book that’s easy to read. “Into The Cannibals Pot”. It’s worth buying, reading and studying because it goes against the received wisdom that Nelson Mandela was good for South Africa. He wasn’t. Mercer had to flee South Africa because of the wicked regime headed up by the ANC which although very violent wasn’t violent enough for Mandela. His legacy spawned unbelievable violence against white people in South Africa and Mercer makes the case that the same hatreds are at work here in America.
“If you want to witness the end result of what in America is called `diversity,’ you must read `Into the Cannibal’s Pot.’ `Diversity’ is a euphemism for racial retribution administered mostly by guilty white liberals in universities, corporations, and government. It is a thoroughly collectivist notion that condones punishing the current generation of white males for the sins of the past. It’s most extreme form is practiced in post-Apartheid South Africa, and its effects are meticulously documented by Ilana Mercer (who also writes marvelously): rampant black-on-white crime, racist labor laws that have created `The world’s most extreme affirmative action program’; the confiscation of private property; economic socialism; state-sponsored terrorism; and, most sickeningly, the idolization of the corrupt and murderous Zimbabwean dictator, Robert Mugabe. The Western media ignore all of this because of their ideological love affair with the communistic African National Congress and, frankly, their support for many of these same policies.” –THOMAS J. DILORENZO, professor of economics, Loyola College, Maryland.
As Ann Coulter wrote: Adios America.
What has that to do with Donald trump? It shows Mercer’s bone fides as a competent intellectual.
Pat Buchanan is an American and a confirmed intellectual. Mercer doesn’t think Trump is as intellectual as Buchanan but intellectuals come in all stripes and Trump is well qualified in most of those stripes. He’s certainly a better intellectual than the rest of the Presidential candidates including Hillary, and Bernie. Ted Cruz is a intellectual. Who doubt’s that? Trump and Cruz are probably the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates for the Republican party. mercer and Buchanan are convinced of that as is anyone else who has been running a scorecard on the candidates.
