Yes, the cost of tickets to watch 17 regular season games plus the Wild card games, the divisional championships and the Super Bowl can mean 21 or 22 games at $2,000 per game for really decent seats means $42,000 to $44,000 on up plus the other expenses like transportation, parking, food and lodging can easily push your cost to follow the NFL and AFL season to well over $100,000.00.

There is an alternative. Find a local venue bar or restaurant or a friend who has a large screen TV and watch the games in comfort.

You might spend as much as $4,000.00 but there are great large screen TV’s for $2,000.00. That’s less than a seat on the 50 yard line at one game. And the color and clarity of a big screen TV make it an easy choice for this octogenarian.

There’s yet another plus for a big TV…. Food. Maybe a ham, a turkey or some grilled steaks along with some adult drinks make this a great choice.
