“All That Is Gold Does Not Glitter” shows there is more than one way to value things. One way is money. The popular saying: “Show Me the Money” seems to conclude that money is the way we measure value but there are many, many things we value highly that cannot be based on money. Love, friendship, honor, character, health, reputation, time, intelligence, beauty come quickly to mind.
All that is not to diminish the value and desirability of money, just to show there are additional ways to value things.
