In his book: “The Order of Time” Theoretical Physicist Carlo Rovelli ask questions and makes statements that reveal his imprecise grasp of existence. He notes as does Einstein that time passes differently in certain different places. He fails to grasp what Rand discovered; that “EXISTENCE EXISTS”. Rand also explains what Aristotle discovered: “A IS A”. Things have a nature. Rovelli, for all of his intelligence, education and thought seems to think differently about reality than reality itself. His focus on time and his conclusions have massive errors. Time is not an existent. It is a way to make measurements about the past, present and future. He seems to accept time as something that has an actual presence when it is simply a way to measure certain features of existants. You cannot hold time in your hands like an apple but time exists as a concept that is eminently useful. His failure to grasp certain graspable and known things is his failure to grasp that a proper Philosophy would explain his confusion. Metaphysically the conflict is between those who accept Reality as the basis for their ideas and those who accept Fantasy and his alignment with those who accept both which betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of Reality. Rand explains Metaphysics based on Reality while Rovelli uses Reality and Fantasy as the case suits him but Reality doesn’t admit that Existence can be based on Fantasy. Same for Epistimology where Rand bases it on Reason while Rovelli bases it on Reason and Fantasy. Rovelli also accepts the idea that Man or Mankind is small and insignificant which is not an attitude of someone who accepts Reality but someone, like perhaps most people accept both Reality and Fantasy. Fairy Tales are not True but people who accept Fantasy think some parts of a Fantasy based Metaphysics can exist. They do not and they cannot.
