And America requires more than just being born in America. One must have at least one parent who is American. …… Surprised? … Most people are because the Zeitgiest is that one merly has to be born on American soil but if the mother is a citizen of another country her child, the newborn, is subject to the laws of the mother’s country, not America. That’s what jurisdiction means. If the father is American then the newborn is a citizen of America but there is another step before the citizen can vote. The child at age 18 must declare he or she is an American citizen.
