Fountain Pens have to be dipped into ink and filled so they can be used for writing. Just dipping them in once allows them to be used for a short time but to use them properly they need to be filled with ink. That annoys some people because they need to buy some ink before they can fill their pens. There are some disposable fountain pens but they get very, very expensive when compared to buying a pen one time and filling it time after time with ink. Oh.. Yeah… Changing color is a pain because the old color has to be flushed out of the pen before changing to a diffferent color otherwise the colors mix and there’s no telling what color will come out.
