It’s supposed to seat 1,000 guests for breakfast, lunch or dinner so it needs chairs AND TABLES… At eight per table that’s 120 tables. People need chairs so that’s 1,000 chairs, 120 tables plus space in between for the servers to serve 1,000 dinners. In addition there must be space behind the scene to prepare all of the food so that means stoves, ovens, refridgeration, sinks and strorage space for all of the dishes, cups, saucers, knives, forks, tablecloths and all of the additional equipment to prepare, serve and clean-up after the event.

All of the past presidents used tents. TENTS!! Tents for distinguished guests of America. Either that or they had to go somewhere else to eat.

In addition, the ballroom space can be used for awards and presentations. It can also be used as office space.
