Adventure is too soft of a word for what’s going on in Russia and Ukraine. It’s a massive fu*k-up for Putin and Russia.
Russia is seen as the aggressor regardless of the facts because it is an immense country full of military resources while Ukraine, a rather substantial country that’s problematic in it’s ideology with a psychopath in charge that’s sooner or later going to be supported by The West. It cannot go a different way.
Can president Putin rise to the occasion? If the past is prologue, no. There’s no where to rise to. Russia is in a wrong position here and the end will happen because of that.
