Half Moon Is Called “Quarter”. There is no such thing as a half moon. It’s Full, First Quarter and Last Quarter

If you look at the moon tomorrow night you will see a half moon but it’s not called a half moon. It’s called a Last Quarter moon. Why? I don’t know. It makes no sense to call half of the moon a quarter but a lot of things don’t make sense. When there’s no moon at all it’s called a New Moon. So no moon is called a new moon and a half visible moon is called a quarter of a moon. Whoever did this needs to be called to account.
