There were fields of energy which randomly compressed and some energy became so dense, far too dense to exist so the matter “exploded” or repelled the forces or the matter and became what is currently described as “The Big Bang”. Where did the energy come from? Well…. there isn’t even a name for the energy just as there’s no name for whatever existed before the big bang. There are things which remain unknown. That’s one of the big ones.
