“…March on till victory is won.”….. What do black people want? Whatever it is is being kept secret. It’s not in the song.. If someone is marching they should know why and they should be willing to tell people why they are marching and what it is they want. But it’s a secret. What is the secret? We don’t know. Is there something black people want? Look… Everybody has things they want. Honest people want honest things and those honest things should be available for inspection but they aren’t. The things black people want, .. the honest things…. are not listed in the black national anthem. Either they are known and are being kept secret or there is nothing they want but why are they marching? Maybe you know. Maybe Cassandra Monique batie, aka Andra Day knows. If she does she’s keeping quiet ablut it. If she doesn’t know she should not be asking for it and because she is asking for it we can presume she knows what the song really means and she is keeping quiet about it.
