They take a long, long time to re-charge. That’s OK if you can re-charge during the night when you are asleep but what about when you need to be away overnight? The can cannot be plugged into a wall outlet. It would blow the fuzes and burn out the wires because of the massive amount of electricity needed to re-charge the batteriws. Unless you can leave the car plugged into a charging station at the hotelor motel at which you are staying you will not be able to re-charge the battery. You may be able to re-charge it and take a cab home for the night and take a cab back to collect your car the next day but how bad is that? Pretth bad especially conpared to just getting some gas for your gas powered car. What about plugging in the car when it’s raining? Will you get zapped? Water and electricity don’t mix. Rain is not a problem for a gas car. Just pull under the canopy and fill-‘er-up!.
