And that’s why government must be controlled by the people, not by rulers… Rights are an attribute of an individual. There are no race-based rights. There are no religion based rights, there are only individual Rights and they must be protected against government power. That’s the purpose of Rights. One person can protect themselves from another person but not against a mob or a gang. That’s why police are needed. One person cannot protect themself from other governments which is why a military is needed and one person cannot protect themself from thieves which is why a court shstem is needed to provide Justice and for nothing more. We are not there yet but America and our founding principles launched us in the proper direction.
