The deadline for certifying the votes is December 11 when California is supposed to certify the election. That’s 32 days after the November 3rd election but the Electoral College meets December 14 this year which is 39 days after the election so counting election day, that’s 40 days for the people to vote and for their representatives in The Electoral College to actually vote for The President.
