The rap against Ayn Rand Comes from those who cannot grasp why she is so popular. One reason she’s so popular is her two biggest books, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged have more moral information in them than the Bible. Religious leaders can never support that and they don’t but it doesn’t change the absolutely radiant view of life she wrote about. Unlike for example the Ten Commandments which tell people what not to do Rand shows the results of the principles people hold. If you hold false principles you will lead a false life. Follow true principles and your life can be wonderful. She analysed the Papal Encyclical “Populorum Progressio” and found that the dominant chord of the encyclical’s sense of life is hatred for man’s mind — hence hatred for man — hence hatred for life and for this earth — hence hatred for man’s enjoyment of his life on earth — and hence, as a last and least consequence, hatred for the only social system that makes all these values possible in practice: capitalism.
The Catholic Church murdered Bruno and tried to kill Galilao because it knew their ideas which were in opposition to the church would lead people away from the church. Same for the ideas of Ayn Rand who could never be acceptable to the church. That’s a major enemy. Thats why she must be opposed and condemned. She’s a threat to the whole system of lies called Religion and the leaders know it. Skeptical? Read Atlas Shrugged.
