So says NRA’s Dana Loesch. The pro-gun group says it has had enough of “the sanctimony and arrogance” of stars and media outlets who want tighter controls.
Loesch addressed her video to “every lying member of the media, to every Hollywood phony, to the role model athletes who use their free speech to alter and undermine what our flag represents”.
The political commentator’s clip, in which she flips over an hourglass, was released on the day of the Oscars.
It is reminiscent of the Time’s Up movement in Hollywood, which protests against the sexual mistreatment of women.
In the video – an advert for her new show on NRATV – Ms Loesch said the organisation has “had enough of the lies” it claims are being made about gun ownership.
She added: “The sanctimony, the arrogance, the hatred, the pettiness, the fake news.
“We are done with your agenda to undermine voters’ will and individual liberty in America.”
Hollywood is no longer about America. It’s about hating us. Hollywood caters to the fringes, not middle America. Oscar has consciously decided to flip us their middle finger and to write off Middle America. Excluding us, trashing us, insulting, and marginalizing us was the evident game plan of the left wing conservative bashing and hating little children playing in their expensive sandboxes at the Oscars but the jokes on them. We tuned them out. We showed them. We refused to watch and we won’t go to see their leftie message movies. Hollywood, you can taunt us but you will continue to lose viewers.
