Last year: ZIMBABWE PRESIDENT ROBERT MUGABE: ‘WE WILL NOT PROSECUTE KILLERS OF WHITE FARMERS’. And: In 2017, Mugabe said he was aware of 73 white commercial farmers still operating in the northeast province of Mashonaland East. “We are going to take those farms and re-distribute them to our youths.”
In March, black men who attacked a farm outside Pretoria, South Africa told a mixed-race woman who tried to protect her white husband that they killed only whites, not Coloreds, the South African term for those of mixed race. In other incidents, the attackers reportedly claimed they were members of Umkhonto we Sizwe (Spear of the Nation), the armed wing of the African National Congress.
If we are to take the numbers of Genocide Watch seriously, in 19 short years more than 4,000 white farmers in South Africa have been murdered by the new ruling elite there, those black residents who democratically elected Mandela. That’s 210 white farmers murdered/ per year by blacks in South Africa.
These are great injustices that have virtually no chance of being redeemed.

Andrea X, an American expatriate who gave up her life in Brooklyn to create the Women of Color Healing Retreat in Puerto Viejo in 2014, said she had a hard time communicating with white people in the U.S. without focusing on their constant “micro-aggressions” and “passive-aggressiveness.” Andrea X said she envisions a “safe space” free from the oppression of white people and believes white Americans shouldn’t be able to travel outside their own country.

“I feel like white people shouldn’t even have passports,” she said, laughing. “They need to stay in the United States.”

“My tip to white people is to let us have our space, let us have our room, and go hang out with other white people,” she said. “You’ve done enough damage.”
The Next Step. . . . Presidential portraits of Barack and Michelle:. . “It’s sort of a play on the ‘kill whitey’ thing”: Kehinde Wiley’s Official Presidential Portrait of Barack Obama Preceded by Paintings of Black Women Decapitating White Women. Decapitation? Something about real hate going on. Why else would the Obama’s select a black artist who has a penchant for painting black people holding the decapitated heads of white people?

Haiti. . . Bill Mahar wore a t-shirt with Haiti Is Already Great.. . . . If he’s going to Haiti he should consider that the CDC recommends:
Typical travel immunizations recommendations for all people traveling Haiti include:
Hepatitis A– this nasty viral infection of the liver is often spread thru food or water. This is strongly recommended for anyone traveling to Haiti. Full immunity requires 2 vaccines 6 months apart. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to get both doses prior to travel, 90% of people are protected with the first vaccine.
Typhoid– is also spread through food and water. You know you don’t want high fevers, belly pain, and diarrhea so get protected.
Tdap– This is the tetanus shot with whooping cough built in. Now you are protected if you get a cut or scrape as well as from whooping cough.
Influenza– Do you really want to be sick with the flu while you are there? Do you really want to spread this around to your fellow humanitarians? Enough said.
Malaria vaccine– It isn’t available (yet). I included it as I get asked about this all the time. You will need to discuss malaria prevention with both medication and mosquito bite avoidance with your travel medicine specialist.
Vaccines which are recommended for some people:
Hepatitis B – you will want protection from this viral infection of the liver. It is spread through contact with body fluids; if you cut yourself and need stitches or need any other medical care you could be exposed. If you will be working in health care, returning to Haiti multiple times or travel internationally frequently you should seriously consider protecting yourself against Hepatitis B. It requires 3 doses of vaccine over 6 months. The other ways of contracting Hepatitis B should be avoided while traveling: tattoos, piercing, and new sexual partners.
Rabies-Animal bites are serious business, often requiring evacuation for proper care. If it is within your budget and you will be staying a long time or visiting often, protection with vaccination is advised. Many people choose instead to learn how to provide first aide for a bite and purchase travel health insurance to cover evacuation for treatment with vaccine and HRIG.
Yellow Fever is not needed because the disease is not present in Haiti. Caveat: if you are coming from a country with Yellow Fever, you will need to show proof of vaccination prior to entry to Haiti.
Check your routine vaccines. Many people are unaware they need a booster.
Varicella (Chicken Pox)- you will need two doses in your lifetime or have had the disease.
MMR (Measles) -requires 2 doses in a lifetime.
Pneumonia-People who smoke or have asthma need the pneumonia vaccine too. Check with your health care provider to see if you are up to date with these.
Vaccines are only the tip of the iceberg when preparing to travel to Haiti. You will need to prevent Malaria, Dengue, Cholera, and traveler’s diarrhea. The medical system in Haiti is overburdened and was severely impacted by the recent earthquake. You will want to make plans to receive any needed medical elsewhere.
UNITED STATES: Darryl Goodman, who was locked up with his own father at Graterford prison before dedicating his life to helping at-risk young people, has been piecing together a data set with help from inmates at the 25 prisons around the state of Pennsylvania. By his most recent reckoning, (and it’s hard to keep up, as inmates constantly are being moved) there were 243 fathers in state prisons with their sons. At Graterford alone, he counted 41 father-son pairs, including 17 sets of cellmates. He found seven families in which a father, son and grandson were all locked up together.
More needs to be done to recognize what’s going on and to make things better.
