The 9/11 hijackers were trying to avenge the defeat of their ancestors at the Battle Of Vienna 318 years before 2001. The Ottoman’s were from Turkey.  They expanded into Europe but were stopped  in the year 1529 when they attempted to capture the city of Vienna. They tried again in 1683. They lost again but the Ottoman Empire existed until 1922.
