For $15 one person can enter the 200 exhibits. On-Line tickets are $17 each so for $34 two tickets for you and a friend, spouse or child can be purchased ahead of time to avoid waiting in line instead of browsing the artists exhibits. No charge for parking but the $34 goes to who exactely?

Oh… Another $20 buys a 16 x 20 “2026 Show Poster”. That’s a rather small size for a show poster. For $75 you can buy an even smaller “1992 Show Poster – Limited edition Signed” poster. So… Admission for two with a 2026 and a 1992 poster is $135 … That’s before you buy anything from the artists whose work is on display in the rented space they pay for to attend the rip-off Art Show.

Wait! there’s More. It costs $25 to apply for booth space and $350 for a 10 x 12 foot booth space. Bring you own booth.

They claim 18,000 visitors. at $15 per ticket if the tickets are purchased at the show that’s $270,000.00 that goes to the show organizers. In addition there’s the cost to the artists for their booth space. That’s $350 each for 275 artists.. A sub-total of $96,250. But the rejected artists need to pay $25 just to apply.. That’s another $5,625 in addition to the $6,875 for the artists who get a booth.

Food.. Yep Food Vendors pay a fee too. Probably $350 ber booth.. If there are 50 food vendors that’s another $17,500.00.  Total incone to the show organizers is $396,250.00.

Cost of workers.. Free.. They are volunteers who probably don’t realize the show organizers charge a fee for their work. And so..

In addition each of the artists need to spend a load of dough to make their exhibits. If each artist sells $2,000 worth of art during the two days that’s 275 times $2,000, .. ANOTHER $550,000.00.

Capitalism is a great system but it can be exploited in the name of various schemes that seem beneficial before the costs are calculated. Just be aware of all the fees that go to the organizers and the government before one artist gets to sell one thing. There are costs for a lot of things but hiding the pea and Three Card Monte are old schemes. Maybe Art Shows need to be added.
