Sort of… In the 2025 F-Pace it can be turned off but it turns itself on again and again and must be turned off again and again. It causes early battery failures, early starter failures as well as computer failures and un-necessary wear on the affected automatic transmission components that are expensive to repair or replace. It negatively affects the climate because when an engine starts it emits raw fuel, smoke and even water until it runs.
